People seem to think that legal products are less effective than illegal products.  This is because customers believe that that the government bans higher-strength products that are actually likely to be more effective.

Companies can make forecasts that include a precise outcome or a range of potential outcomes.  Making a precise forecast that turns out to be wrong, leads to reduced trust and loyalty compared to forecasts that give arange.
